We are looking for an experienced administrative assistant who can adapt to all administration, reception and financial roles.

 

Skills that you will need to be successful in the role:

  • An ability to communicate in a clear, concise and confident manner in person, in writing and on the phone;
  • Outstanding people skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities
  • A very high attention to detail
  • A great work ethic, approachable with a friendly, professional disposition
  • Xero experience
  • Hold a valid drivers licence and be continually vaccinated for COVID 19 and Influenza
  • A background in the funeral industry is not essential

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating with families who have lost a loved one, understanding logistics and booking appointments.
  • Supporting management with day to day administrative tasks
  • Responding to questions from families in a timely manner and providing professional support to our funeral arrangers to make sure that every funeral service runs smoothly.
  • Reconciling data between multiple computer logistical systems
  • Detailed review of Doctors paperwork and liaising with Doctors and surgeries.
  • Annual leave support for other team members roles including reception, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Ad hoc duties as required 
  • There also will be some funeral service work from time to time including assisting on funeral services and bringing loved ones into our care from Aged Care Facilities, Hospitals and residence.

 

The role is Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm, with some on call (Weeknight & Weekend) work on a rotating 6 month roster. Roster is released in plenty of time to plan your social calendar. Any after hours work will receive monetary compensation
